What LiveAtlas does
Cameras filming a city square, a harbour, a mountain pass, or a stretch of coast are broadcasting around the clock, all over the world. They are hard to find, because they are scattered across the internet with no common index.
LiveAtlas puts them on a map. You pan across the world, tap a camera, and the stream starts. You can keep the views you like in favorites and come back to them.
- Browse live cameras on a world map
- Watch a stream in the app, played by YouTube's official player
- Keep favorites and return to them
- Search and filter by place and category
How streams are played
What LiveAtlas lists is not video. It is a reference to a stream — the video identifier — together with the description the Developer adds: a display name, a location, and tags.
- Playback is performed by YouTube's official embedded player. The Developer does not copy, store, re-broadcast, or modify any video
- Only streams whose owner has enabled embedded playback are listed. This is verified mechanically before a stream is added
- Advertising is neither removed nor replaced
- The app uses YouTube's Privacy Enhanced Mode (
youtube-nocookie.com) by default
Video, video identifiers, and titles belong to the respective broadcasters and to YouTube. The Developer claims no rights in them. Third-party data and services used by the app are credited on the Attributions page.
What it costs
LiveAtlas is free, and every live camera it lists stays free to watch. Paying does not unlock additional cameras.
- No advertising. The app contains no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK
- No subscription. There is nothing to renew
- One optional in-app purchase. LiveAtlas Pro is a one-time (non-consumable) purchase that removes the limit on how many cameras you can keep in favorites
For broadcasters and rights holders
We accept removal requests regardless of the reason given. We stop showing the stream as soon as we can confirm it. You do not need to install the app.
Use the form on the Support page. Please have the video URL ready — it looks like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=…. We need it to identify the stream.
