1. Introduction

LiveRuby (the "App") is an iOS app provided by RuLa Gems (the "Developer"). It lets you find live camera streams on a map and watch them.

The App requires no account and does not send saved cameras, viewing history, or your current location to the Developer's delivery server. This policy explains where network traffic does occur and what the Developer may receive.

2. What the App does not collect

The App never sends any of the following to the Developer's server:

The App has no mechanism for writing anything to the Developer's server. Communication with the server is read-only. No analytics or advertising SDK is included.

3. On-device storage

The App stores the following on your device and does not send it to the Developer's delivery server. Whether it is included in device backups depends on the OS and your settings.

See section 14 for deletion of app data.

4. Device permissions (location)

The App uses location (while in use) to show live cameras near you on the map. It is used in two ways:

Granting it is optional. Every live camera remains viewable without it.

The App does not send the current location it obtains to the Developer's delivery server or YouTube, and does not obtain it in the background. The last viewed map position is saved on your device, so an area near your location may remain after you move the map there.

Map display and search use Apple's services. See section 5.3 for communication involving search areas and coordinates.

5. Network activity

The main destinations and purposes of network activity are described below. See also sections 6 and 7 for purchases and contact forms.

5.1 Fetching the published data

The camera list, stream status, and notices are fetched from a server operated by the Developer (live.rulagems.org). These requests only read; they never upload.

The only information the App attaches is its own name and version (User-Agent). No device identifier or user information is included.

That said, because it is a network request, your IP address is recorded in the delivery provider's access log. This is recorded automatically by the delivery platform (Cloudflare) for abuse prevention and fault diagnosis. The Developer does not use it to identify or profile users.

5.2 The YouTube embedded player

The App uses YouTube API Services. Playback uses YouTube's official embedded player inside the App. When playback starts, your device communicates directly with YouTube (Google LLC).

The App itself does not pass information about you to YouTube. During playback, however, YouTube may collect information directly from your device, such as:

The App uses YouTube's Privacy Enhanced Mode (youtube-nocookie.com) by default. According to YouTube Help, views in this mode are not used to personalize advertising shown to you outside the app, and ads shown within videos are not personalized.

Even in Privacy Enhanced Mode, cookies or similar storage and communication with YouTube may occur. The information stored and its timing depend on the player and device environment.

Information collected by YouTube is handled under Google's policies. Please see the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service.

The App does not receive any information about you from YouTube.

5.3 Apple map and search services

The App uses Apple's MapKit for maps, place-name searches, and nearby-place searches. Place-name searches send the entered query and search map region to Apple's services; nearby-place searches send the target coordinates and search radius. These coordinates identify the search area and are not necessarily your precise current location. The App does not send your current location or search queries to the Developer's delivery server.

See Apple Maps & Privacy and Apple's Privacy Policy for Apple's handling of information.

6. In-app purchase

LiveRuby Pro is purchased through Apple's StoreKit, and payment is handled entirely by Apple. The Developer only reads the purchase state locally and receives no information identifying the purchaser. There is no server-side purchase verification.

7. Information you provide through our forms

The App itself collects no personal information. However, if you use one of our contact forms, the Developer receives the following.

8. Information sharing

The Developer does not sell or rent your personal information. Information handling for data delivery, YouTube, Apple, and Google Forms is described in sections 5–7. Apart from the use of those services and disclosures required by law, the Developer does not provide personal information received to third parties.

9. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and the Developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Note that what the App lists is live streams published by third parties, whose content the Developer cannot review in advance. If a child uses the App, please do so under a guardian's supervision.

10. Your rights (California / EU / UK)

Depending on applicable law, residents of California, the EEA, the United Kingdom, and other regions may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, restrict or object to processing, obtain portable data, or opt out of sale or sharing.

The App does not send saved cameras, places, or viewing history to the Developer's delivery server. See section 14 for deleting on-device app data. Section 5 describes information involved in data delivery and handling by external services.

For requests concerning information submitted through our forms, contact us through the same form (section 7). Google Forms submissions are stored on Google's servers and may be processed outside your country under Google's policies.

11. Disclaimer (about the streams we list)

The video shown in the App is broadcast by third parties, and the Developer does not warrant its content or continuity. For inappropriate content and removal requests, please see the Terms of Use and the form below.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as needed. Changes will be reflected on this page and in the "Last updated" date above.

13. Contact us

For questions about this policy, bugs, or feature requests, please use the form below.

For anything about a listed live camera (removal requests, reporting content), please use the content removal / report form.

14. Data deletion

Saved cameras, places, and viewing history can be deleted from their respective screens in the App. To remove the App and its on-device app data, use iOS “Delete App”; “Offload App” keeps app data. This does not delete device backups, information retained by external services, or contact form submissions. See section 7 to request deletion of form information.
